Giving Gardens

The Giving Gardens program aims to promote and support efforts to maintain community gardens and provide educational garden programming in Portage County.

The produce harvested from these gardens is donated to local food distribution centers in order to increase food security and provide healthy meal options for economically disadvantaged citizens.

n 2023, over 18,000 pounds of produce was distributed and donated to local food distribution centers in order to increase food security and provide healthy meal options for economically disadvantaged citizens.

GLEANING or the collection of produce after the end of market, occurs at the Stevens Point Summer Farmers Market on the Downtown Square July through October.
